Vanessa Shanessa "Nessa" Jenkins is a main character from the TV series, Gavin and Stacey. She is the best friend of Stacey Shipman, and later a love interest for Neil Smith.
Background[]
Nessa practically lives with Stacey and Gwen West in their house in Trinity Street, Barry. Her mother (possibly called Shanessa) is estranged. Her father is called Neil, and he entered the series in time for Nessa and her fiancé Dave. Nessa was in the original line-up of All Saints, but left because she didn't get on with Shaznay Lewis. Nessa has had many celebrity relationships, which include John Prescott, Nigel Havers, Tom Jones and Prince. She also had relations with two members of Gladys Knight's Pips, and the members of the group Goldie Lookin Chain. She has married twice, and we know the identity of her second husband, Clive Morris. Nessa has had several one night stands with Smithy, and later fell pregnant with his baby, also called Neil, after Smithy, and Nessa's father. Nessa's wedding to Dave did not go as planned, as Smithy convinced him that Nessa had feelings for him rather than Dave, and so he left her at the altar.

Nessa works at the SH Amusements Centre which everyone calls "the Slots". She has worked previously as News Producer for the BBC, as a personal assistant to Bollywood actor Om Puri, and as a driver for Gladys Knight and the Pips, The Who and Eddie Stobart. She is also a friend of Hear'Say member Noel Sullivan. She does some trading on the stock markets often as well.
